How big is a skua bird?

The great skua, or bonxie, is a bird about 60 cm (24 inches) long, resembling a gull but heavily built, with a brownish body and large, white wing patches. It is the only bird that breeds both in the Arctic and in the Antarctic.

Where Does the skua bird live?

Distribution: Widespread throughout coastal regions in Antarctica, migrates across the equator in the Antarctic winter reaching as far as Alaska and Greenland. Skuas have been seen at the south pole.

Is skua a seabird?

The long-tailed skua is a medium-sized seabird. It is the size of a black-headed gull, with slim wings and long delicate tail streamers.

Why can you not touch penguins?

It should really go without saying, but you cannot go around touching the penguins. Penguins are tiny birds that are susceptible to human interference, and the last thing they want are some annoying touros getting down into their nests and trying to pick them up.
